Pajama Party | Minneapolis Family Photographer

What grandparent doesn't want all their grandchildren photographed together? It can definitely be a challenge to organize getting everyone in the same place, at the same time, and all in good moods, but when it happens it's magic! I was so proud of all our little munchkins. They were all extremely cooperative and it makes me so happy that we were able to provide these images for my parents, who are really some of the most involved, supportive grandparents I could imagine. Love you all!

Ericson Portraits | Minneapolis Child Photographer

Being surrounded by families and children is one of the best parts of my job. I love photographing them and their interactions with each other. These three are not only gorgeous beyond belief, but fun to play with, extremely photogenic,  AND cooperative - definitely a winning combination ;-).  Here are just a few of my many favorites from our time together.

Farrell Family | Minneapolis Family Photographer

Okay. Seriously. This family is way too beautiful! Little Teddy kept us on our toes and baby Alexandra was just as sweet as could be. I had such a blast playing with both of them. Thanks to Monica and Ted for inviting me into their home to capture some images of their lovely family.

Foley Family | Minneapolis Family Photographer

I'm pretty sure Mengistu ran a 5K during his photo session. And he wasn't even winded. The rest of us, however, did a little huffing and puffing as we tried to keep up with him. ;-)

Active sessions like this are so fun though. Besides getting my exercise, it is just so rewarding to capture images with such genuine expressions and interactions. Thanks to Tod and Susan for being laid back and to Mengistu for keeping us busy.. and for being so incredibly adorable.

Golden Hills Sessions

I am working on creating a new wall display for Amma Parenting Center. For this project, I wanted  to create some new images and was looking for some babies to photograph. I wanted to diversify the display and my personal portfolio and, hopefully, provide some images to families who would appreciate them.

Whenever I'm looking for new models, I can always count on my mom to make suggestions. This time she hit the jackpot of babies - Golden Hills school in Rochester. They have a nursery full of adorable babies/toddlers and were gracious enough to welcome me in. There, I was able to photograph a number of little cutie pies and provide some very busy new mommies with portraits of their little ones. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this possible!

Month #6

This month has been a whirlwind of activity and development for Genevieve and our whole family. Of course, the holiday season is always busy and, for us, it has been compounded with the fact that all of our children are seeking more independence.

The boys want to do everything by themselves ("no need help Mommy" is a frequent phrase around here these days...) and Genevieve is extremely mobile. She is sitting unassisted and has been crawling for nearly a month and a half. She is pulling herself up on EVERYTHING and is even moving along furniture. She obviously has somewhere important to be and is determined to get there as soon as possible. ;)

She eats solid foods (pureed deliciousness as well as finger foods), sleeps for longer periods at night (yay for Mom!), and wants so badly to play "rough" with Daddy and the boys. She loves crawling, jumping, and playing in the bath. She has also developed a love for our cats, who only come out after the boys have gone to bed for the night. Genevieve usually stays up to giggle at them, chase them, and try to pull their hair, ears, or whiskers off before nodding off for the night.

I wonder what another month will bring... walking? talking? driving the car?
Nothing would surprise me at the rate.

Ya'Niyah

There are adorable babies and there are gorgeous babies. Ya'Niyah is GORGEOUS.  She is 6 months old, which is an absolutely delicious age to be as they are still such babies, but are really starting to "do stuff" (rolling over, sitting up, crawling, cooing, etc.). Ya'Niyah was a delight to photograph for both of these reasons, in addition to the fact that she has perfectly squeezable thighs and amazingly beautiful eyelashes. Thanks to Shannon and Jaque for the opportunity to photograph her!
